Our business concept
Komab strives to be the complete technology consultant, using our own or collaborative resources at all stages, from initial concept to final delivery. Locally. Nationally. Internationally.
History
Today’s Komab Industrial Technology originates from two different technology consulting companies; The nationwide Knight and the Sorb Group’s Skellefteå-based Komab AB. The latter also had a manufacturing sibling company named NorrMekanik AB.
The company has purposefully built up extensive expertise in everything from design, product development and production technology to CAD/PDM, programming and service/aftermarket for the industrial sector. As part of this development, Renholmens product program for material handling in the steel, car and mechanical industry was acquired in 2001 and Stenlunds Machinery & Trading with their timber industry plants in 2009. Komab still assists with service, spare parts and further development of these products and plants.
In 2006 the company Selcon Elteknik AB started and in 2013 Jama Mining Machines bought 100% of the shares in Komab and 51% of the shares in Selcon through its main owner Högkammen AB. One year later, the two companies were merged under the name Komab Industriteknik AB. Anders Edström also joined as CEO of the company.
